Tellus Interdum

2012

Information is packaged into consumable blocks of content, which is then turned into a loose grid of interchangeable components. The content of cells in a newspaper is always replaceable. The format creates a regularity that supersedes the chaos of the natural disasters, life dramas and ever- changing world events. Tellus Interdum is an issue of the local newspaper, printed near Zittel’s house in Joshua Tree, California, in which the content has been replace by Lorem Ipsum. Lorem Ipsum is a placeholder text used by graphic designers, generated using Latin phrases with words that have been altered to be nonsensical in meaning, allowing the structure to supersede the content.
