Suburban Sprawl Studies
The Suburban Sprawl series was the precursor to an idea that eventually became a series of lithograph editions and then later photographic wallpaper. The forms in the studies were derived from aerial imagery depicting of the fringes of urban development as it crept out into open desert land. Mirrored and repeated, the images were tiled to create a larger pattern that charted the frontiers of urban development. Within each grouping there was generally one original gouache and then a series of digital replicas of the original. (Links to lithos and wallsprawls?)
