Planar Configuration One

Four identical versions of Planar Configuration were simultaneously presented in the fall of 2016: Two were presented at Andrea Rosen Gallery, and a simultaneous installation of two more configurations was staged in two identical cabins in the Mojave Desert. The works, comprised of vertical and horizontal panels of varying materials and dimensions, are continuations of Zittel’s ongoing exploration of abstracted forms that literally create support for day-to-day living and perform the functions of cooking, eating, reading, writing socializing and and sleeping.
