A-Z Cover Series 1

The two series of woven Covers were created by a diverse group highly skilled artists and artisans from all over the country who were sent instructions for weavings that reflected the duration, technical process and subjective decision-making process. A-Z Cover Series 1 - Weaving Sessions is an undulating woven timeline that was generated by asking the weavers to each weave a single panel while switching between three thread colors. The beginning of each day was marked with a band of lighter gold and each weaving session thereafter (between coffee breaks, or other distractions) is indicated by switching back and forth between darker gold and black.
