| When you compare human
to animal physiology it reminds us of just how fragile the
human body really is - and just how dependent we are on
our architecture and clothing for survival. The Warm and
Cool Chambers were a response to living in a large space
that became very hot in the summer and very cold in the
winter. Because it was not possible to control the larger
environment, these small but comfortable chambers were created
with built in heating and cooling elements to be used to
protect and comfort the body whenever the external environments
became too harsh.
