| The A-Z Breeding Unit
for Reassigning Flight, installed in the front window of
the New Museum, was designed to evolve chickens with short
stubby wings back into birds with the capacity of flight.
The unit channeled egg from the highest nest into the incubator
in the next compartment where the chicks would hatch, grow
up, and then once again be presented with nests of different
heights.
