Spent yesterday checking on works that will open at the A & D Center at the #psartmuseum this Saturday. The show has several works that were produced here at A-Z West and a wonderful collection of maps, photos, books and brochures curated by @sarahbrookehodge that explore the grid and settlement patterns in the high desert. If you are in The lower desert this spring check it out at the Palm Springs Art Museum Architecture and Design Center, March 11 – May 22, 2017⠀

More in-progress images of a new work here at A-Z West that will be permanently open to the public. Just hit the halfway mark last week! originally all of the units were going to be concentrated on a ten acre parcel, but I'm moving some of the structures over to adjacent acreage this week. Always learning new things about scale from working in this landscape. Thanks to #VIA and #guggenheimfellowship for the support to make this work.

Love this photo of A-Z West that was taken early this morning by @sarahlilbur Sarah has been out to A-Z West to help us with a myriad of projects for the last two winters. During the warmer times of year she is developing her own remote off the grid property on an island in Nova Scotia.

…cleaning and prepping A-Z West for the first of our spring tours tomorrow. On days like this I sometimes find myself wondering what on earth I was thinking when I decided to turn my life into my art practice. On the other hand, at least I'll have an unusually clean house for a few hours over the weekend.
