In January 1994 the A-Z Enterprise was moved into this
small three story storefront building in Brooklyn, NY,
and for the following six years it functioned as a continually
evolving showroom/testing-grounds called "A-Z East."
This was the site of many of the most classic A-Z Prototypes,
from the “A-Z Pit Bed” to the “A-Z Food
Group Processing Unit”.
On Thursday evenings the storefront, dubbed the “A-Z
Personal Presentation Room,” would open its doors
for a weekly open house/cocktail event. Bartender Daniel
Wineman would serve his special elixirs in “A-Z
Containers” and guests could tour the building viewing
the latest prototypes as they were in progress.
A lot of people ask what has happened to A-Z East and
just to clear up the shroud of mystery we would like to
announce that the ground level has now been rented to
a café called St. Helen. These days more attention
is now being focused on our new project at A-Z
West and to organizing a yearly event in the high
desert High Desert Test
Sites.
